Kwame Dawes participates in Furious Flower Poetry Conference

Poet and African Poetry Book Fund editorial board member Kwame Dawes attended the Furious Flower Poetry conference in Harrisonburg, VA from September 24-27. This conference is held once every ten years and brings together the voices of contemporary African American poets from around the country. While at the conference, Dawes participated in the critics’ roundtable “Diaspora Poetry: Black Poetry Crossing, Expanding, and Challenging Borders.”
