Saradha Soobrayen

Saradha Soobrayen is a creative activist working with poetry, visual arts and live arts. Born in London of Mauritian parentage, she received an Eric Gregory Award in 2004. As a coach Saradha nurtures new and established poets and artists making transformative works. In 2017-18 she was the poet in ‘non’ residence on CHAGOS: Cultural Heritage Across Generations https://chagos.online. Her artwork Chagos-nica 2019 toured with www.guernicaremakings.com. Saradha’s fiction and poetry are published in journals and anthologies. ‘Sounds Like Root Shock’ a multidisciplinary poetic inquiry into the depopulation of the Chagos Archipelago is a lifelong project.
